Over the last couple of years we've put 100's of hours, maybe 1000's into promoting PolicyMatter which is Software for Policy Management and Compliance.
This is a great solution to the old problem of ensuring people read, understand and are up to date with company policy. So why as it been such a hard sell? Well I really do think that it's just too difficult for business owners to justify spending money automating an existing well established policy management system, even if the latter obviously doesn't work. It's far easier to say, 'Yes we have a policy on that, it's in that folder', there you go, the compliance requirement is satisfied and the managers backside is covered. That won't change until regulations mandate that employees have to actually read and comprehend a policy.
